A gazebo is usually the biggest single piece of branding a school, club or company owns. At a sports day, an expo stand or a weekend activation it is what people see from across the field. If you are comparing branded gazebos in Zimbabwe, the choice comes down to three things: the footprint you need, the frame you want to carry around, and how many walls to print. This guide works through each of them using the sublimated gazebo range we supply from our shop in Greendale, Harare.
What a sublimated gazebo actually is
A sublimated gazebo has your artwork dyed into the polyester canopy and wall fabric rather than printed on top of it. That means full-colour designs with no limit on the number of colours, so a crest, sponsor logos and a photo background all print at the same cost. The canopy on our gazebos is polyester gazebo fabric with a fitted 600d water head, so it is water resistant and will see you through a passing shower.
One honest caveat from the product listings: dye sublimation is not designed for constant, long-term sun exposure, and overexposure shortens the life of the print. Take the fabric off the frame and out of direct sunlight between events and it will look sharp for far longer. Browse the full range in our Gazebos category.
Branded gazebo sizes available in Zimbabwe
Our sublimated gazebo range runs from a 1m x 1m kiosk through 1.5m x 1.5m, 2m x 2m and 3m x 3m square gazebos to 4.5m x 3m and 6m x 3m rectangular frames. Here is how to think about each one.
1m x 1m kiosk
A kiosk is a branded counter with a roof. It suits one person handing out flyers, selling tickets at a school gate, or running a registration point at a fun run. It is the lightest option to transport and the quickest to set up.
1.5m x 1.5m and 2m x 2m
These mid-sizes fit a small table and two staff. They are a good match for a club merchandise stand, a tuckshop at a gala, or a corporate stand in a crowded expo hall where floor space is charged by the square metre. The 2m x 2m is also available on a petite frame for a lighter, more compact pack-down.
3m x 3m
This is the size most buyers in Zimbabwe end up with, and for good reason. A 3m x 3m gazebo shades a team bench with kit bags, or a full product display with a table and standing room for visitors. It is used for sporting events, product launches, brand activations and mobile retail. Our Ovation Sublimated Gazebo 3m x 3m has an aluminium frame with a hexagonal leg profile and weighs 14kg, so one adult can carry it in its bag.
4.5m x 3m and 6m x 3m
Rectangular frames are for the times a square gazebo feels cramped: a whole squad and their supporters at an inter-schools tournament, a hospitality area at a golf day, or a company stand that needs a demonstration area and a seating area under one roof. Because the sides are different lengths, the wall skins come as short and long versions, which brings us to the next decision.
Aluminium or coated steel frame?
Both frame types in our range share the same hexagonal leg profile, pre-punched feet for ground pegs and four attached loops for guy ropes. The difference is weight and budget. The 3m x 3m aluminium Ovation frame weighs 14kg; the Coated Steel Sublimated Gazebo 3m x 3m weighs 19.4kg. If the gazebo will travel to away fixtures every weekend in a school bus, the aluminium frame earns its keep. If it mostly stays at one venue and gets set up by the groundsman, coated steel does the job.
Both versions ship with a slip-over carry bag and a toolkit: a mallet, four nylon ropes, four steel frame pegs and four steel rope pegs. The packed bag for a 3m x 3m measures 158 x 28 x 28cm, so it fits lengthways across the back seat of most cars.
Half walls, full walls, or canopy only?
Every gazebo in the range is sold as a canopy on its own or with a combination of printed walls. A full-wall skin closes a side completely, which is useful as a backdrop for photos, a windbreak, or to hide stock behind the stand. A half-wall skin runs at waist height so visitors can still lean in and talk to you, and it is what most retail and activation stands use on the front and sides.
A common set-up for a 3m x 3m is one full wall at the back and two half walls on the sides, leaving the front open. For a sports team bench, a single full wall facing the prevailing wind is often enough. Each listing in the category is named by its wall combination, so you can add exactly the configuration you want to your quote.
Replacement skins keep an old frame working
If you already own a frame and the fabric has faded, or your sponsor has changed, you do not need a new gazebo. We supply sublimated gazebo skins in every size in the range, as well as spare gazebo bags and toolkits. Rebranding a canopy is also the cheapest way to refresh a stand before a new season.
How pricing and ordering work at Lite Active
Display items on our site are priced per item and exclude VAT, which is added at 15.5% on your quotation. Full-colour print of your artwork is part of the quote, and we handle layout and proofs in Harare before anything goes to print. Add the gazebo, wall skins and any flags or flying banners you want alongside it to your cart, and the site produces an instant PDF quotation you can send to your bursar or procurement team.
We deliver across Zimbabwe and to Zambia, Namibia and South Africa, or you can collect from our shop at Kamfinsa Shopping Mall in Greendale, open Monday to Friday from 8:15am to 4:45pm. The artwork process is the same one we use for team kit, which we explained step by step in How to Order a Custom Sports Kit in Zimbabwe.
Frequently asked questions
Which gazebo size is best for a school sports team?
For one team’s bench, bags and a first-aider, a 3m x 3m is the usual choice. If you want the whole first team plus parents under cover at a tournament, look at the 4.5m x 3m or 6m x 3m.
Can I print a different design on each wall?
Yes. Because the fabric is sublimated, every panel is printed individually, so a sponsor can take one wall and your crest another. Send us your logos and colours and we will prepare a layout proof for approval.
Is the gazebo waterproof?
The canopy fabric is water resistant with a fitted 600d water head, which handles light rain. Like any pop-up gazebo, it should be pegged down with the supplied ropes and pegs and taken down in strong wind or heavy storms.
